Lets make some Lemonade

"Life is like a box of Chocolates, you never know what you're going to get",  (Forrest Gump.)

"We all have two lives.  The second one starts when we realize we only have one,"  (Tom Hiddleston.)

"In the end, it's not the years in your life that count.  It's the life in your years."  (Abe Lincoln.)

"Life is from the inside out.  When you shift on the inside, life shifts on the outside."  (Rakivant.)

"Life sucks and then you die".  (Kids, everywhere!)

So many quotes about life.  From deep and inspirational to Spiritual to humorous.  From the beginning of time to just a few hours ago.  Google it.  Pages upon pages of good stuff.  How does one decide which to use?  How about the (arguably) most famously used and, inspiration for this page ...

"When life gives you lemons, make Lemonade."  (Elbert Hubbard, 1915.)

Hubbard was also known for "Do not take life too seriously.  You will never get out alive."  Hubbard was right on both.  We can't take it too seriously and, we aren't getting out alive.  (lol)

In life, there is no fairy Godmother ready to bippity, boppity boo us out of our life and its challenges.  There is no Genie that pops out of a lamp and says "Poof, what do you need?"  There are no 'operators standing by', waiting to take our orders of peace, happiness or, sanity.

Life does not come with a money back, satisfaction guarantee with free shipping.

Let's get real!  It comes with stress.  Challenges.  Frustration.  Anger.  Resentment.  Fear.  Disappointment.  Heart break.  But also, peace.  Joy.  Love.  Hope.  Happiness.  Sometimes we really have to look for it.  I mean really, really look for, send out the Search party, look for it.  (lol)  If we keep looking for it, we'll eventually find it, right?

I think true happiness can be found not on Google or through winning the lottery (although I do occasionally buy tickets.  lol)  But, through faith.  Lots and lots of faith.  And, learning to make lemonade with the lemons life gives you.

I hope through this blog and by sharing MY thoughts, or opinions or parts of me, the challenges that are MY reality ... that not only will I learn to make some awesome lemonade; but maybe, just maybe be able to help others along the way.

Let's make some lemonade!
